New Chinese

Has anyone yet tried the new Chinese, that has opened up down near Mercadona. Is food OK and are they cheap?

We saw a sign to this new chinese when out yesterday. It is over the main roundabout, behind the Spanish restaurant. Think it in the green roof tiled building. Waiting for any other reports

We called in and looked at the menu. I did not think the prices were reasonable. Try the one before you get to Benijofar opp. the BP Garage. Lovely food, good prices and you cannot fault the service. Young Jani and Sindy are so wlcoming and polite, it is a pleasure to go there and well worth the ride out. Eve

We just saw the green roof as we drove by - very elaborate and looks very expensive. Yes, quite agree Eve. The Chinese at Rojales, at the moment, is the best around. A very friendly welcome from brother and sister and lovely food and possibly the cheapest around. All our friends go there now. You must all try it. Perhaps I'll arrange a Get-together for the people on this forum one evening. It is called Restaurante Chino PATO PEKIN, Avda, Constitucion, 55 03170 Rojales, Alicante Tel: 618 280 358 xx

Just to let you know that Ian and myself and a couple of friends went to Restaurante Chino PATO PEKIN at Rojales last night and had yet again, another lovely evening. If you haven't tried it yet, you must go along for yourself and try it x

Just to let you know that the New Chinese restaurant does NOT have a luxury green roof - I think that must be somebody's villa, and they probably wouldn't be very pleased if we all arrived there wishing to be fed ha ha. The New Chinese is directly opposite the large Chinese Warehouse on the N332. We looked at the menu and it is very expensive and that does not include the wine. So goodness knows how much a bottle of wine would cost at this place. Plus the road where you park is awful - great large holes where you could ruin your car. So, we will not be going there. We will stay with our lovely Chinese at Rojales...............

Hiya, the best chinese I have found is near the hotel laguna in dona pepa, it is called china town laguna, and it is 10 euros for all you can eat(without wasting any) and you order at the table and they cook it for you, I wouldn't go to another one now, well worth a try!! :)

Commented Carol in La Marina 2011-05-29 10:50:22 UTC

Commented david in La Marina 2011-05-30 07:31:23 UTC

Yes quite true David, but we didn't see any menu del dia's on the Menu - maybe we missed them.......

Were there many people in there? Perhaps we will give it a try then if you think it good !

Are there any other people that have tried this fairly new Chinese over the road from Mercadona? We drove past the other evening and there were quite a few cars outside.
Have any more of you had a meal there yet and if so, please could I have your comments? We are wondering whether we should try it one evening. Thank's

I had my birthday at this restaurant with a few friends recently. An absolute brilliant night finished of with them playing "Happy Birthday" and bring out this huge boat full of fruit, ice cream and fresh cream.

Malika and I have been there a few times now, even just this last Wednesday. The ffood is a mixture of Tia, Chinese and Japanese. Delicious. menu of the day starts at 4.95€

Definitely worth a try.

It sounds absolutely wonderful Malcolm. Am I correct in assuming that one can either sit inside or outside ? It would be extremely nice to be able to sit outside during this lovely weather.

When we were having a nosy about the other week QueenBee - Yes there were tables and chairs outside, so I would say yes you could sit outside, not that we have been there yet.
